Pamela says Teddy, who is partial to a chocolate chip cookie or Keema on nan bread is the best behaved dog she has ever had... and everyone should have a Newfie in their family!

Finland must be an ideal place for a Newf... plenty of water and snow. Ari tells us that Gaia, pictured here as a two month old puppy is in her element as she loves both. Rides in the van are right up there in the fun stakes for Gaia as well.

Holly from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada loves to do what Newfs often do best...SWIM. Holly is pictured here on vacation, taking a quick break in between dips.

In Cambridge the local wave pool is opened up for dogs just before it is shut down for the season and Holly is a keen starter. Top marks to the pool administrators for the idea and opportunity!

This is Cindy at ten weeks old. Cindy lives with owner Charlie and an older Newf called Beary in Los Angeles, California.

Huff lives in Sumner, Christchurch New Zealand with Mike and Maria. In fact, we have met young Huff, who has recently turned one.

We suspect this may be one of the few photos you will see of a Newfoundland by a fire...they usually seek out the coolest place possible.

This cute Newfoundland puppy is Bournville from Scotland at 8 weeks of age.

Bournville lives with Bob, Rosalind & their children as well as 1.7 kilo Yorkshire Terrier Ted, in a small town called Skelmorlie, on the river Clyde.

Let's hope that Ted learns to give Bournville plenty of clear space when Bournville decides to lie down as a fully grown Newf!

Amy, pictured here at six years old lives in Devon with Helen.

Helen tells us that there is an important aspect of UK Newfie lifestyle missing... Amy's philosophy seems to be when water is not available settle for MUD!

Apart from receiving the usual bear and saddle comments when wallowing Amy has been compared to a Hippo, which Helen thinks is rather unkind...

Ishmael Pequod lives near San Francisco. Her novelist mum Karen says Ishmael is always demanding to be in her books and so far Ishmael has made it into two novels. Most recently she is "Stormalong" the ships dog on a pirate ship out of Madagascar.

Gunnar , pictured here at almost eight, lives in Lansing, Michigan with Theresa.

Gunnar loves laying under the lawn sprinkler. Theresa says people stop in the middle of the street because they can't believe what they see.

Here is Gizmo at two-and-a-half years old, weighing in at 74kg. His favorite passtime is going for truck rides, and Doug says he looks soooo cool with his doggles... we have to agree.

Gizmo lives in Ladysmith B.C. Canada. Like most Newfies, he loves the water and snow. Doug says Gizmo is also a pretty good dancer.
